There's still plenty of time to see our Spring Musical! Don't forget to buy your tickets for Singin' in the Rain, March 17 and 22-24.

 

 

We still need some help to feed our Pit Orchestra during the Singin' in the Rain show! Lots of help is needed when HBHS hosts the WGASC for Winter Guard! Help chaperone Drumline Competitions as well as Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Orchestra Festivals! Click below to see our events and sign up to help out or donate!


Current OMG Happenings

 

  • OMG meetings for the rest of the year: 

  • April 11- Thursday, Peter present

  • May 1- Wednesday, Austin present

  • June 6- Thursday, Banquet, Senior Center

 

  • We are looking for parents to hold Chairperson positions to help the 2024-2025 Oiler Music Guild Board.  We are especially looking for Tournament Chairpersons and Band Uniform Chairperson (we will have new band uniforms next year). Please contact Heather Lopez, our Parliamentarian, at hblopez6@gmail.com.

  • March 30, 2024 and April 20, 2024. We will be hosting the WGASC Color Guard Tournament and WGASC Championships. We still need Chairpersons for April 20th.  Please sign up below.  We will update the sign up to include specific stations/jobs.

  • Looking for somebody who knows how to make Spam Musubi.  We are planning on selling Spam Musubi at the Winter Guard Tournament on March 30 and we need somebody to make about 100.  All items needed will be supplied.

Additional Notes for Parents/Students

 

-Our Wind Ensemble has had a great past few weeks of rehearsals, we have been working hard to prepare for our SCSBOA festival this week on Wednesday, March 20th at University High School! Friends and family are encouraged to attend our performance at 6:30pm.

-Students need to bring their dress clothes with them to school Wednesday morning for the Wind Ensemble Festival. Options for clothing are: 1) White tuxedo shirt, black bow tie, black slacks, black shoes or 2) Black dress and black shoes.

-Both Jazz Bands will meet on Monday since we will not have time to rehearse on Wednesday.

-After this week’s festival, we are quickly transitioning to preparing for our Spring Band Concert which is the following week, March 27th. The performance is at 7:00pm in the auditorium and will feature our Wind Ensemble and Jazz Bands! Admission is free.
