Oct 20, 2025 Band Notes

Congrats to our APA Orchestra Pit members who had a fantastic run of Shrek the Musical!


We now have 5 weeks left to our marching band season, with a competition on every Saturday thru Nov 22nd. I can't believe we only have a little over a month left!


Please read below for this week's schedule and updates, but first a quick reminder:


  • After competitions, it's extremely important that students stay to unload our equipment trucks until all of the equipment is put away. I know it's a late night but it's important that everyone helps. Putting equipment away usually takes 30 minutes, so I suggest students text their parents when we arrive back at the HS to give a 30 min heads up to pick them up. I try and put a tentative pickup time on the schedule but please know that it just an estimate. Thank you!!!

Monday, Oct 20

  • 2-4:30pm Marching Band Rehearsal


Tuesday, Oct 21

  • 6-9pm Marching Band Rehearsal (non-Shrek kids)


Wednesday, Oct 22

  • 1:41-4:30pm Marching Band Rehearsal


Friday, Oct 24

  • 1:41-4:30pm Marching Band Rehearsal


Saturday, Oct 25 (Competition @ University HS!)

  • 9:30-11:45am - Morning Rehearsal

  • 11:45am - Load trucks, change, eat

  • 1:30pm - Leave for University HS

  • 2:15pm - Arrive @ University HS

  • 4:47pm - Perform

  • 9:07pm - Awards

  • ~11pm - Dismissed @ HBHS

  • Nov 8th - Competition @ San Clemente HS

  • Nov 15th - Semi-Finals Competition @ TBD

  3. Please volunteer in one of the following ways below 👇🏻 Click on the links to sign-up.

    1. Competition @ University HS (10/25) - We are always in need of water bottles and fruit snacks.Even if the volunteer list fills up please still think about dropping some by the band room on Friday. Thank you!

    2. CSBC Champs at HBHS! (11/27) - We are still a month away, but it's our biggest fundraiser of the year and we need every family's help! Please sign up for a shift now so we can pre-plan the day as best as possible.
