Looking Back-
Post all of your OMG friend summer fun photos, award photos, grad photos on our share site! And download photos and videos of your kids! Check out our Shared Google Photo Folder here!
Looking ahead-
Do you like being in charge? Are you good at planning large events? We know some of you are!! This fall we would like to have a Chairperson for every event so the pressure doesn't fall on our already overworked Board Members! We need Tournament Chairpersons for Band Champs in the Fall and Color Guard Tournaments in the Spring, as well as Chairpersons for Sounds of the Season, Travel Organizer, Communication, Website, etc. Don’t worry, you’ll have a whole team of people to help you! We really need someone who is organized, that likes project management, to keep things on track. We know you’re out there! Email our OMG President at hbomg.president@gmail.com for more info.
Volunteers: Thank you to everyone for volunteering. Please return the orange volunteer badges at the end of your shift. We need them for other volunteers. In all fairness to volunteers, we want to reserve free admission to events to those volunteering for the event, so if you are not there to help (donations are appreciated, but don't count as 'help' at an event), do not take a volunteer badge.
Concessions: Profit from concessions is part of our OMG budget. We do need it to try to reach our fundraising goals to support our students. We supply water and snacks during competitions and practices but students should bring money if they want something from concessions.

Additional Notes for Parents and Students-
-Tuesday is our first Tuesday night rehearsal in the Stadium.
-Friday is our third football game of the year. It is important that they have these things with them for the game: white underwear, white uniform t-shirt, white long socks, and have solid black shirt (black band shirts coming soon) and jeans to change into after half time.
-Saturday is USC High School Band Day! We have the awesome opportunity to join the Trojan Marching Band for their halftime performance at the USC-Nevada football game. We will meet at HBHS at 9am, and travel by bus to USC where we’ll practice with the USC band. After rehearsal we’ll walk over as a group to the USC Village for lunch, and get a tour from HBHS alumni currently at USC. We’ll then walk to the Coliseum where we’ll change into uniform, watch the first half of the game, and perform at halftime in front of around 70,000 fans! Our ETA back to HBHS is a bit up in the air but we are hoping it is around 11:15pm. Students need to bring with them for the day: white underwear, white uniform t-shirt, white long socks, and have solid black shirt (black band shirts coming soon) and jeans lunch money or sack lunch to bring with them, and concessions money to buy food in the stadium.
Please email me if you have any questions about the day at all! afloyd@hbuhsd.edu
