OMG Bylaws Update
We needed to add a few more details to our Bylaws, so check them out below. If you have anything you'd like to discuss,
our discussion and vote have been postponed until our March 5th OMG Meeting.
Our Oiler Music Guild Bylaws (nonprofit rules/guidelines) have gone through a bit of an upgrade and revision. We have corrected some info regarding program directors and added info regarding video meetings.

OMG Annual Banquet Planning - help plan our Awards Banquet!
We are currently trying to come up with catering options for the Banquet, let us know if you know of a good catering company/restaurant that would be reasonably priced to feed about 200 people.
Several Board Positions and Chair Positions will be available next school year and we need to get them filled! I know it seems like everything runs smoothly within the program (most of the time), but that is ONLY because of this year's INCREDIBLE Board!!!! That will NOT happen if we don't know fill these positions! Let us know how you can help!

Additional Notes for Parents and Students-
- We’re entering our “crunch weeks” for Festival Orchestra, as the festival performance is just a week and a half away! Here is the tentative schedule for any parents who are interested in attending:
12:00 p.m. - Students excused from classes (HBHS and Non-HBHS Festival Orchestra ONLY)
12:15 p.m. - Warm-up rehearsal (HBHS Band Room)
1:40 p.m. - Rehearsal concludes, load buses (HBHS)
2:00 p.m. - Depart HBHS for Coil School of the Arts (RCC)
4:00 p.m. - Arrive, unload buses, and observe performance (time permitting)
4:30 p.m. - Warm up
5:00 p.m. - Performance (Coil School of the Arts Performance Hall)
5:30 p.m. - Clinic (with guest clinicians)
6:00 p.m. - Clinic concludes, load buses
6:15 p.m. - Depart Coil School of the Arts (RCC)
7:45 p.m. (approx.) - Arrive at HBHS, Unload Buses, Dismissal
- We will be looking for 6 parent chaperones for the trip, which can be signed up for here. With about 55 students traveling to the performance, we wanted to ensure as much coverage and provide parents a free opportunity to attend the performance without spending the gas for the long trip, and any way you can support the ensemble is much appreciated!
- Other programs continue this week with our regular schedule as we begin heading into “March Madness” for the music programs. We also will welcome new student auditionees on Saturday, March 1st! As of this week, we will not hold an orchestra camp before the festival performance (originally listed March 1st) due to tight schedules and performances with Indoor Percussion, but we are actively looking at options to schedule a date before Fanfare for all performing ensembles.
